How every venue gets checked

Three checks before a venue goes on a guide

  1. STEP 01Checked on the venue's own websiteNot a booking site, not last year's menu. If we can't find it on the venue's own page, it doesn't go on the guide.
  2. STEP 02Price, deposit and booking statusAdult and child prices, the deposit, and whether they still have tables, with the date we last looked.
  3. STEP 03Dated, then checked againEvery listing shows the date it was last checked. Through December, venues are rechecked for who still has tables.

More than opening times

WhereLiverpool is a guide to eating and going out in Liverpool. Listing sites tell you a venue is open. This guide tells you what's on the menu, what it costs, what the deposit is, and whether there are tables left.

Venues can pay for a sponsored spot. That buys a labelled spot at the top of a section and a tracked booking link. It never changes the facts printed about them.
